However, it might not immediately obvious how to precisely trim them since they are too short to put in a vise and cut.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The trick is to use a stud and screw them together end to end.  Since they are precisely machined, that makes the assembly long enough to grab them securely for cutting, as if you were cutting a straight piece of tube.
